Where Are You Planted?

What does it look like to truly thrive in the place where you’re rooted? In today’s episode, host Rochelle invites us to reflect on Psalm 1:3 and challenges our community to ask, “Where am I planted?” Together, we’ll explore what it means to be intentionally rooted in faith, how our surroundings impact the fruit we bear, and why stewardship matters when God brings blessings into our lives. We’ll consider practical ways to sow into our church, community, and personal spiritual growth, ensuring that when the time for harvest comes, we’re ready to flourish and give back.
Join us for this thoughtful devotional as we come together in prayer, asking God to guide our hearts and help us remain firmly planted in His purpose. Let’s grow in faith as a community, seeking strength and wisdom for today.

Today's Devo is called Where Are youe Planted?
00:00:07.919 --> 00:00:59.899
Hey there. We're the Alessies, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time. That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the My Morning Devotional Podcast. Good morning, everybody and Happy Wednesday. My name is Rachelle and I get the privilege of being your host this week. I hope that the last two days have truly blessed you, and I really hope that you're having an incredible week. And if you feel like you haven't, well, I pray that today is the day that turns it all around. And so today I want to get right into it, but I'm going to be reading from Psalm 1, verse 3, and it says, he is like a tree planted by the streams of water that yields his fruit in its season.
00:01:00.299 --> 00:02:06.950
And its leaf does not wither in all that he does, he prospers. I love this verse because it's such a great encouragement to us. And at the same time, though, it is something that truly challenges us because we have to ask ourselves, where are we planted? I love that this says that he is like a tree planted by the streams of water. And because of that, we bring fruit in its season. And I talked a little bit about yesterday, about waiting in the Lord and trusting him and all of that. And sometimes that also requires us being planted in the right things, being surrounded by the right things, investing, sowing in the right things. So when it is the time for the Lord to bless us, when it is time for that fruit to come up, we are planted. And that is the reason why we even produce that fruit, the reason why we can even enjoy the blessing, enjoy everything the Lord has given us, because we are planted in the right place. And for me, that truly is my church.
00:02:07.109 --> 00:02:36.099
I am blessed to be part of an amazing church. And I'm always challenged to make sure that I am sowing in multiple areas of my life. I'm sowing physically with my service, serving in my teams, financially, making sure my tithe is always in the house of God, even the way that we give back to our community and the people around us, and that helps us be planted by the right things to make sure that when it is time for the Lord to.
00:02:36.169 --> 00:03:37.009
To bring out a harvest, we can handle it. And not just Enjoy it. But truly, truly, even giving back to the Lord and say, thank you, Father, because I know this comes from you. It even also says that once it brings fruit in its season, its leaf does not wither. It means even after the fruit is over, the tree is strong, the tree looks good, we're doing good, that we don't need just fruit to come out for us to feel good. We live a life that shows endurance, a life that shows the true goodness of the Lord, the things that we. We get to do, and that everything we do prospers. And I, I love that the Lord promises that if we're planted in the right place with the right heart, with the right vision, everything we do will prosper. But because of we are planted. And so I ask you today, can you please ask yourself, where am I planted?
00:03:37.729 --> 00:04:15.099
Where are areas of my life where maybe I need to uproot and not be planted there anymore because it's not good for me, it's not producing the right fruit? Or when I'm waiting, what I think fruit is coming, the fruit is not coming. And you've been waiting a long time for this fruit to come, but the fruit is not there. And so if that's the case, maybe it's because it's not planted in the right area, in the right place. And ask the Lord to help you today find those areas to make sure that you're planted in the right place. Because the Lord wants to bless you.
00:04:15.340 --> 00:06:17.339
He wants you to live a prosperous life. He wants you to make sure that everything you touch prospers because you are in the right place. And guys, we have to realize that sometimes, are we big enough to hold the blessing and to hold the fruit, or would we be bad stewards? Bad stewards would be us not being in the right place, not being a good steward of what the Lord is trying to give us. And I know that's a hard thing to think about, but even ask yourself, if I'm not planted in the right place, will I ever be a good steward of the good fruit that the Lord is trying to give me? Because if we know that the Lord is bringing that harvest, then it's on us to steward it and give it back to him in many different areas. And so let's make sure today that we reflect, where am I planted? In what areas of my life do I maybe need to move? So let's pray together. Jesus, thank you so much for your word. Thank you for this beautiful psalm that you have written many years ago that we can have today. Thank you because you promised us that if we plant it in the right place, Lord, the fruit will come. And not only will it come, but your word says that we will prosper. But Father, we can't leave it there. We have to remember that everything we get is a gift from you. And in what areas do we have to give it back to you? In our service, in our finances, in our mind, in our heart, Lord, what are some things that we need to give to you? But we thank you because we know that you are with us in this process and with you in our lives. We are planted in the right place. In Jesus name I pray. Amen. So there you have it. Your 5 minute daily dose of heaven. Thank you so much for tuning in today. We pray these devotionals empower you to take on your day.
