Walk In Confidence

Walk In Confidence

Are you struggling with comparison, even though God has a special plan just for you? In today’s episode, host Lauren Alessi invites us into a heart-to-heart conversation about facing insecurity and choosing confidence, no matter our circumstances. We’ll reflect together on the encouraging words of Deuteronomy 31:6, learning how to trust that God is always with us—through every season, doubt, and challenge. Together, we'll uncover practical ways to shift from comparison to gratitude, and lean into the promise that we are never forgotten by God.

Join our community as we finish the week grounded in prayer and dedicated devotional time, believing that God will strengthen our courage as we walk boldly each new day.

You're listening to the My Morning Devotional podcast, episode 1310. Today's episode is called Walk in Confidence. Hey there. We're the Alessi's a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time.

00:00:22.480 --> 00:00:33.259
That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the My Morning Devotional podcast. Hello everyone and happy Friday.

00:00:33.820 --> 00:00:45.259
My name is Lauren Alessi and I have been your host for this week and we have talked about being confident and even when we face insecurities, choosing confidence every single time.

00:00:45.820 --> 00:01:00.750
And I've really enjoyed hosting this week. I hope you have been blessed. I hope you have enjoyed it. And we are going to finish out this week with a strong verse, but a really, really good verse. Not but. And a really, a strong. And a really good

00:01:01.229 --> 00:01:04.430
6.

00:01:04.829 --> 00:01:08.590
Deuteronomy. You don't often hear that book in

00:01:08.590 --> 00:01:15.790
6. Be strong and courageous. For the Lord your God goes with you.

00:01:16.030 --> 00:01:19.069
He will never leave you nor forsake you.

00:01:20.200 --> 00:02:11.830
I just love that verse so much because it's a strong start. Be strong and courageous. And then it says, for the Lord your God goes with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. A lot of times I can speak from personal experience. I think we lose confidence because. Or maybe we get insecure because we think God has forgotten us. We see other people getting blessed and then we start to compare. Right? Right. We're like, okay, well, you know, they, their life seems to be perfect. And then you see other people on social media and you're like, well, their life is obviously perfect. Like, what the heck, they're beautiful and their kids are beautiful and they take beautiful vacations. What the heck? And so we compare. And then when we keep going down the rabbit trail of comparison, we start to get insecure. And then we feel like God has forgotten us.

00:02:12.310 --> 00:02:19.400
And then we feel like God hasn't blessed us because God, God's blessing other people, but he's not blessing me because simply God has forgotten me.

00:02:20.039 --> 00:02:39.000
And honestly, I think that's a very, in today's day and age, a very, very normal thought, which I will say, if you feel like you're there right now, find what you can be grateful for. Find the little things that God has blessed you with. We need to be grateful for the small Things, God. Okay, you got me to work safely.

00:02:39.000 --> 00:04:08.460
God, you got me. I. I have a good car. God, that operates right. We need to be grateful for the things that maybe we take advantage of. But anyways, that's besides the point. But let's remember God has never forgotten us, and God will never forget us. For the Lord your God goes with you. He will never leave you and he will never forsake you. And reading this verse, I'm thinking of the Old Testament, because that's where this verse is at. And a lot of times the children of Israel in the Old Testament, they just became so used to seeing signs and wonders. They became so used to seeing God perform miracles that the truth is they became a little spoiled. Like, the only way I know God exists is because I know he performed a miracle. And the truth is God was good enough and God was gracious enough that he kept performing signs and miracles to bring them out of the promised land. But then after a while, it's about developing trust and confidence in God. It's not about needing to see signs, miracles and wonders to believe in God. So here's what I want to encourage you and challenge you with today. If you're still feeling down about yourself and a feeling of lack and a feeling of insecurity, be strong and courageous. For the Lord has not forgotten you. The Lord has never forgotten you. You. But the Lord your God goes with you. He will never leave you.

00:04:08.699 --> 00:04:12.139
Not today, not tomorrow, not next week, not next year, not next month.

00:04:12.780 --> 00:04:15.979
He will never leave you nor forsake you.

00:04:16.860 --> 00:04:20.620
Let's pray. God, thank you for going with us, God.

00:04:20.860 --> 00:04:28.459
Even now, Lord, thank you for going with us when times are good, when times are bad, when we love you, when we sometimes doubt you.

00:04:28.459 --> 00:04:39.560
God, thank you for always being by our side. God, thank you for that, Lord. Thank you that even when we doubt you, Lord, even when sometimes we can't see you, God, you still never leave us.

00:04:39.560 --> 00:04:54.459
You still never forsake us, God. Lord, give us the courage to take bold steps, Lord, knowing we will never walk alone. Lord, thank you for giving us the courage to believe big things, God. To believe big miracles can happen in our lives, God.

00:04:54.930 --> 00:05:29.100
But Lord, equip us and challenge us, Lord, to believe that you are still with us and you have not forgotten us. Even when we can't see those signs, miracles and wonders, God, because your word says you will never leave us and you will never forsake us. And we take you at your word, in Jesus name we pray. Amen. So there you have it. Your 5 minute daily dose of heaven. Thank you so much for tuning in today. We pray these devotionals empower you to take on your day. 00:05:29.259 --> 00:05:34.269
