In today’s episode, Lauren Alessi Burgos continues through James 3:5–8 and explores the powerful warning that our words can be like a spark that sets an entire forest on fire. Together, we’ll reflect on how quickly careless words, harsh reactions, or speaking without wisdom can create conflict and affect the direction of our lives.
We’ll be challenged to recognize that controlling our words isn’t something we can accomplish through our own strength alone. Instead, God invites us to submit our speech to His wisdom and righteousness, learning when to speak and when to hold our tongue.
Let’s join in prayer and devotion as a community, asking God to give us wisdom before we speak and help us become better stewards of the words we use every day.
