In today’s episode of the My Morning Devotional Podcast, Lauren Burgos concludes her week in Proverbs 31 with a powerful reminder that spiritual maturity is a journey, not a destination.

Reflecting on Proverbs 31:28, Lauren shares that the portrait of the Proverbs 31 woman was never meant to become an impossible standard or a source of discouragement. Instead, it paints a picture of a life shaped over time through wisdom, faithfulness, and dependence on God.

“Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.”

This verse is not about perfection.

It’s about a lifetime of walking with God.

Too often, we place unrealistic expectations on ourselves and become discouraged when we don't have everything figured out. But God is not asking us to become mature overnight. He is inviting us to trust Him through every season.

Through the highs and lows.
Through the joyful seasons and the difficult ones.
Through the moments when we feel strong and the moments when we feel stretched beyond our limits.

This episode reminds us that:

God’s love is not based on our performance.
Wisdom is developed over time.
Spiritual growth is a lifelong process.
God's grace meets us in every season.

Whether you're newly married, raising children, navigating college, building a career, or simply trying to faithfully follow God day by day, He has already given you the grace you need for this journey.

You don't have to become the "perfect Christian" overnight.

You simply need to keep walking with the One who is faithfully shaping you.

Because God isn't just preparing you for one season.

He's preparing you for a lifetime.

And His grace will be sufficient every step of the way.

Tune in and let's embrace the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives!
