We’re so grateful you’re tuning in with us this week. Due to some technical difficulties, we don’t have video for this episode, but we’re thankful we can still share these devotionals with you and continue diving into God’s Word together.

In this episode of the My Morning Devotional Podcast, Lauren Alessi reflects on Acts 15:10-11 and the life-changing truth that salvation comes through the grace of Jesus Christ—not through striving, performance, or trying to earn God’s approval.

As the early church wrestled with what it meant for new believers to follow Jesus, Peter reminded them of something foundational:

“We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved.”

This devotional is a powerful reminder that Christianity is not built on endless striving or religious performance. Salvation was made possible through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.

Key reflections from this episode:

Salvation is received through grace, not earned through performance
Freedom in Christ means living without spiritual bondage or fear
Serving God should come from love and gratitude, not pressure or guilt

Lauren beautifully explains that while serving, giving, and building the Kingdom matter deeply, those things are not what save us. They are responses to the grace we have already received.

One of the strongest themes in this message is the question:

Do you feel like you have to earn God’s approval?

Many believers unknowingly carry the weight of trying to “do enough” for God. But Acts 15 reminds us that freedom in Christ begins when we truly understand grace.

Because Jesus lives, we can face tomorrow.
Because Jesus sacrificed Himself, we no longer have to live under shame, fear, or spiritual exhaustion.

This episode is an encouragement to stop striving for what Jesus already accomplished on the cross.

You are not saved because you performed perfectly.
You are saved because of the grace of Jesus Christ.

And that grace changes everything.

Tune in and let's embrace the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives!
