Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we read out of 1 John 5:13-15 which says "13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. 14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him. "

"The power of our faith in Jesus Christ grants us gifts on top of gifts on top of gifts. These verses alone promise three things. 1. Eternal Life. 2. Confidence 3. The promise that whatever we ask, we know we have what we asked of Him according to His will.

Though we may fail, we are still righteous in the eyes of God. I hope we never forget that our faith is what produces these blessings. We don’t get our confidence from the world. We don’t get the things we want because of our hard work. Promotion doesn’t come from man. It all comes from God. It is all a gift from above.

So walk in the confidence, remind yourself that you have eternal life in Christ, remember to ask God for the things you need. What are you struggling with that you continue to tell yourself that you and you alone can help yourself out of. Give it to God and ask him to deliver you from your bondage."
