00:00:00.160 --> 00:00:21.839
You're listening to the My Morning Devotional podcast, episode 1445. Today's Devo is called the Directions Part 5. Hey there. We're the Alessies, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time.

00:00:21.839 --> 00:00:32.259
That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the My Morning Devotional Podcast. Happy Friday everyone.

00:00:32.259 --> 00:01:09.409
I am finishing up on my series on directions of life and I really pray that this gave you clarity and courage to take the next step on what you are deciding to do. I'm reading from Psalm 127: 1 -2 and it says unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain. It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil, for he gives to his beloved sleep.

00:01:09.409 --> 00:01:16.930
I absolutely love that. So this is my final tip to you all as you take that next step of faith.

00:01:16.930 --> 00:01:20.689
Maybe it's looking for a new job, looking for a new home.

00:01:20.689 --> 00:04:05.330
Maybe it's deciding if this is the person you want to marry or this is the school you want to go to. Whatever it is, this is my final encouragement that with each step you take, I pray that you have more contentment in the Lord, more peace that he takes care of you, and more joy that you are walking on the right path. That this will not be a season of anxiety and confusion, stress or fear, but that this will be a season of beloved sleep, of peace and trust in the Lord. And when you set out to do something, be prepared for the trials that will come your way. My husband and I bought a house and we were so happy and then had a miscarriage a week later. And the thoughts of fear and the lack of trust that I had, it hit me like a train. It came out of nowhere, but I had to keep holding on to the Lord. Everything good in life will come with a lot of hard work, but the Lord will give you grace to complete it. So don't eat the bread of anxious toil, but stay in peace. As you set out to do your work, you have your guidance from your two mentors that you are following. You know that you are financially in check or this isn't the season because of finances. And you know that what you are doing is what you are meant to be doing and your heart is pure. So stay in peace. Let the peace of God that surpasses all understanding guard you in your hearts and minds and don't let any setback cause any doubt or fear because you are meant to be stepping out in faith. We are children of God to take ground in our lives and to live out the faith that God has placed in us. God put you in this place for a reason. Now step forward in boldness and do the work because God has called you to do it. Let's pray. God, we thank you that you are our guide. You speak to us with a clear voice and you make it clear as day where we need to go. So Father, our eyes are open, our ears are open, ready to hear from you. Give us the answer, give us the peace, show us where to go practically and in the Spirit God take the lead. And Father, we will keep our eyes on you. We want you to build the house. We don't want to do it in our might and in our strength. We want to do it by your spirit, knowing that as we work, you will continue to give us the peace and grace to move forward. So I pray for peace. I pray for grace.

00:04:05.330 --> 00:04:46.269
I pray for unity. I pray for patience over anybody that is sowing the seeds for a bigger life, for a better life. I pray that you will just give them sleep as they push forward. Us Christians are trying to live big lives because we're partnering with you God. So give us the grace and the patience as we move forward and as we trust in you, we know that you will set out to complete the work that you started in all of us. And in Jesus name we all pray. Amen. So there you have it. Your 5 minute daily dose of heaven. Thank you so much for tuning in today. We pray these devotionals empower you to take on your day.
