Strength Training

What does it look like to grow stronger when life feels overwhelming? In today’s episode, Lauren Alessi guides us through the idea of “strength training” for our faith, inspired by Ephesians 3:16. Together, we’ll explore how God may be increasing our inner capacity through life’s challenges—not only so we can carry more, but so we can steward blessings and responsibilities with grace and strength. Whether you’re wishing for lighter burdens or waiting for your prayers to be answered, we’ll learn how God equips us to handle more than we imagine.
Let’s gather as a community to pray for renewed strength, inviting God to grow us from the inside out through each devotion and each new day.

You're listening to the My Morning Devotional podcast, episode 1289. Today's Devo is called Strength Training. Hey there. We're the Aleskies, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time. That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the My Morning Devotional Podcast. Hello everyone, my name is Lauren Alessi and I am your host for this week. We are talking about God making us stronger. God building our capacity and being made for more overall. So I hope you're enjoying this week.
00:00:43.689 --> 00:01:22.400
I know I can let you in on a little visual as I was recording yesterday's podcast. About halfway through. I'm in a room where there's an energy saver light and it's like motion detector and, and the light I don't like. I'm not in its view for it to see me move. And I. It went off and I was completely in the dark for the second half of that podcast. So that was really challenging to finish the podcast. And I recorded it completely in the dark, which is kind of funny. That's a little visual you can picture if you'd like. So even this podcast week is strengthening me, growing me, challenging, challenging me.
00:01:22.900 --> 00:01:52.840
Um, but it's been fun nonetheless. So today we're talking about strength training and we touched on this a little bit before, but like I mentioned, I enjoy working out, I enjoy exercising, and if you do too, then maybe you can relate. I have a terrible habit when I exercise, and that is I will forget to increase my weight. So I will work out at a certain weight. I get comfortable at the certain weight. I don't like to sweat too much cause it dirties my hair. And I just washed my hair yesterday, so.
00:01:53.069 --> 00:02:11.990
So I will just stay comfortable at a certain weight until someone comes along and says, hey, you should probably increase your weight, because you can. And that's a little bit what we're talking about today. How in life, we need God in our life, going, hey, you're actually stronger than you think you are. You can actually take on more. So our verse of the
