You're listening to my Morning Devotional podcast, episode 1543. Today's Devo is called Strength for the Weary. Hey there. We're the Alessies, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time. That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the My Morning Devotional Podcast. Good morning everybody and happy Wednesday. We are so glad that you have come back to listen to today's episode. And I think today's episode you're going to love because it's about you. It's about the things that the Lord has for you. And I talked about this week being a week about perseverance and viewing this as a workout, how the more we do things, the better we get at them. And perseverance is one of them. And we have to persevere different things in life, trials, hard moments, whatever it is. But we know that it's worth it because we get stronger. On Monday, we talked about perseverance and trials yesterday. On Tuesday we talked about not becoming weary and doing good because the Lord has a harvest for us in his perfect time and we should not give up and doing good. And today is great because in persevering and doing good, we maybe can grow a little weary sometimes. And we are going to persevere, but it does not mean we don't get tired and that we need some help and that we need some gas in our tank. And the Lord says in Isaiah 40:29, he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the week. This is showing us that yes, we might grow weary sometimes as we're trying. It's not like we're going to become. We can grow weary sometimes. And sometimes we're going to feel weak. We are going to feel like what we're trying to face we're not big enough or strong enough for. And in some of those moments we feel so weak, especially if it's something that we have never dealt with before. If it's a new trial, it's something different that came out of nowhere. When you don't feel equipped, you'll feel weak. When you are non stop, your body feels weak, you feel tired. There's many things emotionally and mentally. If you've had a hard thought, if you've had to have hard conversations or hard moments with others and it's taken out a lot of emotional and mental strength. You feel weak. But the Lord says that he gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. The Lord increases your power. He helps you. And this comes when you've made up your mind to say, I will not give up. The Lord says, all right, if you're not giving up, then I'm partnering with you and I'm going to give you new strength. I am going to give, strengthen you even when you feel weary. I'm going to strengthen your mind, your soul, your body. You're going to look back and be like, how did I go through that? I don't. I don't even know how I endured those days. Because the Lord's grace was over you, and his strength could look like giving you peace. Peace can give you strength by giving you joy. The joy could be strength. The joy of the Lord is her strength. We know that. He can give you strength by giving you a new perspective, a newfound grace for somebody where you just see things differently and you're like, I'm not as frustrated anymore because I'm seeing this differently. That's the Lord giving you some insight in a situation or what somebody might be going through so you can persevere and have the grace for that situation or that person, hey, that's the Lord giving you strength. The strength could look different in every area. Sometimes we see strength as just being strong. Like, if you can pick up something and you feel like, really strong. But guys, peace is strength. Joy is strength. God's view on something in his perspective is strength. So today, don't miss the way that the Lord is trying to give you that strength. It might look different. It might not even look in the way that you think it is. It might not even the way that you're praying for it. The Lord might be saying, hey, I'm giving you strength. And it looked. It looks this way. Lean into that. Because I promise you that's where you'll experience that grace for that situation. It's even wisdom. The Lord will give you the wisdom to be able to handle things, and wisdom will be strength for you. So today, don't get so carried away on viewing strength as one specific way. The Lord will provide that strength for you. It might look like different than other ways or different from the past, but don't let that not give you the strength to keep going, because the Lord has that for you. He promises that here in his word. We see it over and over that the Lord is with us and that he wants to equip us and give us the strength that we need to overcome whatever is in front of us. So let's pray today, Father God, we thank you for the different ways, Lord, that you are giving us strength today. We thank you for the people that you're using to bring us strength today. We are not alone in any situation, Father. You are with us with your provision and your care, Lord. It might come straight from you or you might use somebody to bring that to us. But either way, Lord, we know that you are in the midst of it. So help us today, Father. Open our hearts, open our eyes, open our ears to hear from you, to hear from you and to feel you today so we don't miss the area that you're trying to give us strength so we can overcome. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. So there you have it. Your 5 minute daily dose of heaven. Thank you so much for tuning in. Today we pray these devotionals empower you to take on your day. If you found value in this devotional, share it with a friend, leave a comment or review for us on the app you're using right now. Until tomorrow. We pray that your latte is strong, but your love for Jesus is stronger.
