Soar Like Eagles

Soar Like Eagles

Have you ever felt completely worn out, like you’re running on empty and just can’t keep up with the pace of life? In today’s episode, host Richelle Alessi invites us to pause and discover how we can find true refreshment in God’s promises. As we dive into Isaiah 40:31, we’ll explore what it means to trust in the Lord to renew our strength, even when we’re feeling tired or discouraged. Together, we’ll learn practical ways to shift our minds and hearts, so we can keep pressing forward with hope and a refreshed spirit, no matter what this season holds.

You're listening to my Morning Devotional podcast, episode 1277. Today's Devo is called Soar Like Eagles. Hey there. We're the Alessies, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time. That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the My Morning Devotional Podcast. Good morning everybody and happy Tuesday. Welcome to My Morning Devotional Podcast. My name is Rachelle Alessi and I get to be with you this week. And as you heard yesterday, I am doing this week on just being refreshed. And the reason for it is because we're coming into the summer. The summer's approaching and a lot of us have been running and gunning and the summer is almost like the time to power down. But a lot of us still need to get things done and we still have a lot to get through through the year, and we get to do a lot more things. And so how about instead of looking at things through the eyes of tiredness and just stress, let's look at things a little bit different in ways that the Lord can refresh us and help us. And so we read a great verse yesterday about being generous. And a way that we can get refreshed is by sowing those seeds of generosity. And if we're needing something, maybe it's a sign that somebody else also needs it. And so we should go and bless others and sow those seeds. And so today yesterday talked about what we can do. But today I'm going to read a verse that really just shows us what the Lord is to us and how good the Lord is when we truly rely on Him. And we don't set our eyes on our abilities and our tiredness, but.

00:01:46.640 --> 00:01:53.760
But when we set our eyes on him, how great and how his promises are for us. And so in

00:01:53.760 --> 00:02:04.719
31, which I believe is a verse that I have read before and I've used before, and maybe my sisters in law have too, but it's really such a great

00:02:04.799 --> 00:02:15.439
31 says, but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar like eagles. They will run and now grow weary.

00:02:15.960 --> 00:02:38.039
They will walk and not faint. I truly love this verse because it shows you what happens when you trust in the Lord, when you wait in the Lord. It says that the Lord will renew your strength and that we will soar like eagles, we will run and not get weary. I know that a lot of us might be feeling special this time of year. Maybe some of us are feeling a little tired.

00:02:38.039 --> 00:02:49.090
We're feeling a little weary. We feel like we cannot keep running at the pace that we were running at the beginning of the year. Maybe you're just a little discouraged. Maybe the year has not turned out the way that you want it to.

00:02:49.090 --> 00:03:00.129
Maybe the things that you set out to accomplish haven't really happened just yet. But the truth is, the Bible says, but those who hope in the Lord, the Lord will renew their strength.

00:03:00.530 --> 00:03:03.650
And that is such a beautiful hope that you and I get to have.

00:03:04.129 --> 00:04:07.490
Maybe we haven't done everything we wanted to just yet, but we still haven't missed the target. We have a target, and we can still hit it. And the Lord can help us renew our strength so we can continue running this race, so we can continue running this year and not get tired. So everything that was set before us, we can accomplish and do. And if you're feeling tired today, just ask the Lord. Lord, renew my strength. Help me. Sometimes, guys, it's such a mental battle when you're tired because. Because you repeat it to yourself so much. Your body's feeling it so much that all you can think about is tired, and you just mope and you get up and you're complaining, and instead of doing that, get up and get in your word and speak this Bible verse over you and say, I am going to hope in the Lord, and I know that he will renew my strength. He will give me what I need so I can continue this day, so I continue this week, so I can continue this month. And then I can continue this year, and I can still when. But we have to change our minds.

00:04:07.729 --> 00:05:01.839
The Lord will do a work. He will refresh our spirit. He will refresh our heart. But we have to first say, we're going to shift our mind. We're going to shift our thinking. We're going to renew our mind as well and say, I'm going to trust in the Lord and I'm going to hope. And as I'm doing that, the Lord will refresh me. As I spend time with him, he will give me the energy. So sometimes we think that it just comes by, you know, just out of nowhere. You just feel refreshed. And though the Lord can do that, the truth is, sometimes it takes us getting into His Word and being refreshed by our time with him and not giving up. Just don't give up. This year, you still have a lot to do. You still have a lot great things ahead of you. And so just trust in the Lord, hope in him, and he's going to renew your strength. So let's pray. Thank you God for your promises. Thank you for being so good to us, Father.

00:05:01.839 --> 00:05:50.490
Thank you for renewing our strength. I pray that you will renew the strength of your listeners today. I pray that you will refresh our soul, Father, so we can continue to run this year. Father, I pray that you will continue to help us with our vision and that you will even grow our vision for us to see how much more we can do. Father, even though we might be a little tired, Father, we're not defeated. We're not done yet. We still are getting up and we're still going to do excellent things for your kingdom. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. So there you have it. Your 5 minute daily dose of heaven. Thank you so much for tuning in today. We pray these devotionals empower you to take on your day.
