Rise Up

Rise Up

What keeps us moving forward when life knocks us down? In today’s episode, we’ll explore together what it means to rise up after setbacks, drawing from inspiring stories of perseverance shared by host Stephanie Muiña. Anchored in Proverbs 24:15-16, we’ll learn how to keep our eyes on Jesus, find strength in our faith, and embrace the truth that—even when we fall—we’re never alone. Through the powerful example set by Stephanie’s father and her family’s journey, we’ll discover how God equips us to get back up, stronger than before.

Join our community in prayer and devotion as we seek renewed strength and joy, encouraging one another to rise up and move forward in Christ.

You're listening to the My Morning Devotional podcast, episode 1363. Today's Devo is called Rise Up. Hey there. We're the Alessi's a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida.

00:00:14.240 --> 00:00:29.250
And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time. That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the My Morning Devotional Podcast.

00:00:29.410 --> 00:00:40.369
Happy Wednesday everybody. Stephanie here and I love the topic that we are going to dive into today. If you are feeling discouraged today, I'm here to give you encouragement. Let's dive into

00:00:40.369 --> 00:00:55.460
15 16 says, do not lurk like a thief near the house of the righteous. Do not plunder their dwelling place. For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again. But the wicked stumble when calamity strikes.

00:00:55.939 --> 00:01:21.469
I don't know if you guys know my dad, Steve Alessi, but he truly is one of the greatest men that I know. His story is fascinating. He, he was raised in the church. He had seen a lot at a young age, had gone through a lot with his family, but he came out so strong. He overcame all of that and ended up one of the most integrous men I think I know in my life.

00:01:21.790 --> 00:01:33.230
And then I, I think in his 30s in it was in the 90s, he started a church in the middle of Doral, Florida, which back then was truly just a warehouse park.

00:01:33.790 --> 00:02:03.959
There wasn't anything in Doral, Florida. And my dad chose Doral, Florida to be the home of his church that him and my mom started at that time. And now our church is absolutely thriving. Yeah, they ran into a few issues, but they kept pushing on and now our church is growing exponentially in this season especially then after that, him and my mom, they struggled with infertility for about five years before having my brother Chris.

00:02:04.359 --> 00:02:33.629
And then they struggled again for four years to have me. But they pushed through. They kept their eyes on God. They trusted in God. And today they have four grown kids that and he has three grandchildren with many more to come. And then my dad had a heart attack that the medical world calls the widowmaker heart attack. Truly my father should have passed away. It was, it was very tough for our family.

00:02:34.189 --> 00:03:07.009
But he survived. And he's so healthy today. He's so strong. He's 65, about to be 65. And the man does probably acts like a 40 something year old. He is so strong mentally, physically, he truly does not stop. And you know my father, he shows me every day that life is never going to be perfect. We're going to run into some pitfalls, we're going to receive some bad news, bad things will happen to us. It's going to be hard.

00:03:08.210 --> 00:03:22.689
But if our foundation remains to be Jesus, then we can always get back up. You can rise again. We were never promised an easy life and we never know what's around the corner.

00:03:22.930 --> 00:03:38.490
But we do know this, that if you and I just pursue righteousness, if we keep Jesus our foundation, if we keep the main thing, the main thing, we can endure it. We can get hit, but then rise up again.

00:03:38.729 --> 00:03:45.770
The righteous fall seven times, but they rise again. So here's my encouragement to you all today.

00:03:46.169 --> 00:04:31.319
Take it on the chin. Just take it on the chin and rise up again. If you're dealing with a sickness, speak healing and rise back up. If you're dealing with a failed relationship, keep moving forward and rise back up. If you're dealing with a failed job, if you're dealing with rejection, if you're dealing with closed doors, rise back up. Us Christians, we are children of the Most High God. We are stronger than the other people in the world. We are stronger mentally and emotionally and spiritually. So why act defeated? Why stay laying down? Why act like you lost the fight? You may have lost the battle, but you did not lose the war because you have Jesus by your side.

00:04:31.560 --> 00:05:22.509
You are standing on a firm foundation of Christ. So listen to my voice. Rise up again. Don't look in the past. Don't look to the right or to the left. Keep your eyes on Jesus and move forward. You have it in you. God has surrounded you and he has equipped you. So move forward guys, and rise up again. Let's pray. Father. I just pray right now that if anybody is feeling weak, if they're feeling discouraged, if they feel like they've lost, remind them today of who they are. They are a child of God. They are not a victim, they are a victor. They are healed. They are strong. They are an overt, more than an over overcomer. And they they are healed. They are strong. They are more than an overcomer. They are more than a conqueror. And they can rise up again today.

00:05:23.149 --> 00:05:30.269
Let them be filled with a new joy. Let them be filled with a new strength. And let them push on towards the cross.

00:05:30.269 --> 00:05:33.949
Jesus, we do it all for you, Father. And in Jesus name we pray.

00:05:34.110 --> 00:05:56.290
Amen. So there you have it, your 5 minute daily dose of heaven. Thank you so much for tuning in. Today we pray These devotionals empower you to take on your day.
