Remember Your Story

Remember Your Story

Do you realize how powerful your story is? In today's episode, host Stephanie Muiña invites us to reflect on the transformation God has made in our lives as we explore the beauty of the spring season and the spirit of Easter. We'll learn how to recall and cherish the moments when Jesus stepped into our lives, saved us, and brought about new beginnings. This is an invitation to embrace the practice of gratitude and storytelling as we celebrate His faithfulness.

Join us for this uplifting devotional as we come together in prayer, asking for reminders of His goodness and the courage to share our stories with others!

You're listening to the My morning Devotional podcast, episode 1241. Today's Devo is called remember your story. Hey there. We're the Alessies, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time. That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the My morning Devotional Podcast. Good morning, everyone, and happy Monday. My name is Stephanie Muena, and I am honored to welcome you to our My morning Devotional podcast. I will be diving this week into all things spring, all things new, all things Easter. I. I love the spring season. This is my season. It is. I love all of the bright colors. I love the flourishing blossoms. I love the patterns. I love the florals. This is my favorite, favorite season also, because it represents just new life and new creation and the old being gone and the new being here. So I. I'm fully embracing it. I'm wearing a yellow sweater today. I cut my hair. I dyed my hair lighter. So it's springtime, baby. So let's dive into this. Today I will be reading from 1

00:01:20.828 --> 00:01:50.992
9, and it says, if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. So again, it's the season of Easter. And it's funny because we don't really do much to celebrate Easter, except maybe go to church on Easter Sunday with your family. We wear a beautiful spring outfit, dye our our dye.

00:01:51.055 --> 00:01:54.543
We paint our nails, pretty colors, pretty patterns.

00:01:54.671 --> 00:02:01.819
We probably do an Easter egg hunt with our kids, with our nieces and nephews. We probably have a big lunch with our family.

00:02:02.120 --> 00:03:22.897
But compared to, like a Christmas, there's not much that we do consistently every single year. At least I don't do a lot. But this year, I want to encourage you all to do something a little different. You know, when I was in middle school, I remembered that we would do pop essays, and in the middle of the class, without us ever knowing, the teacher would pull out, would say, okay, clear off your desks, pull out a paper and a pen or a pencil, and write down everything you know about what we're learning. So if we were learning about the Revolutionary War on one page, everything that we remembered, everything we knew, we just had to write down everything we knew about the Revolutionary War. And it was such a great practice because it helped me reflect on all of the lectures the teacher gave me, all of the assignments that I had to complete. And even if we didn't finish the page, even if we got some of the facts wrong, it at least helped us analyze all that we did learn, all that we did accomplish. Well, I want to encourage you. You have a story that needs to be remembered. You have a history of Jesus saving your life. Once, you were in sin, but you met Jesus. You repented of your sins.

00:03:22.993 --> 00:03:29.794
You confess your sins, and then because of Jesus's faithfulness, he forgave you and he purified you.

00:03:29.961 --> 00:03:32.840
And that is your story.

00:03:33.460 --> 00:04:24.699
And it is worth being told. You need to share it. And before you can share it, you have to remember it. So this is my encouragement in this month of Easter, a new practice that maybe you could do. Every time April or March rolls around, take 10 minutes and write down everything Jesus has done in your life. It's easy to forget these things. You know, it's easy to forget that God has blessed us so many different ways. Maybe right now you're waiting for God to give you something. Maybe it's a spouse, maybe it's children, maybe it's a home. But maybe it's a new job. You're waiting for God to answer your prayers. Well, while you wait, why don't you write down all the things God has answered? Has he given you a spouse already? Has he given you a family?

00:04:25.009 --> 00:04:43.033
You have a story. This isn't just a list of all the things that you're grateful for. This is a story of how Jesus saved your life, how you've overcome, how Jesus has stepped in and answered your prayers. You confessed your sins.

00:04:43.161 --> 00:04:57.334
You've been forgiven and purified. Now, guys, it's time to share your story. You know, we're releasing a song in April, and it says, I have a testimony. Let this be a testimony. I was lost, but now I'm found.

00:04:57.502 --> 00:04:59.930
Amazing grace, how sweet the sound.

00:05:00.829 --> 00:05:41.886
You have a testimony, so share it. Come on, let's pray. God, we just thank you for all the ways that you have blessed us, all the ways that you've changed our lives. You've already stepped in and changed everything in our lives, from our heart to our mind, to our faith, to the tangible things and to the intangible things. So, God, we thank you and we bless you, and we just want to remember you. We want to remember our story. We want to remember all that you've done for us. So, God, remind us of all the good you've done in our life and allow us to walk in gratefulness today and to share our story with others. And in Jesus name we pray.

00:05:41.997 --> 00:06:05.709
Amen and Amen. So there you have it. Your 5 minute daily dose of heaven. Thank you so much for tuning in today. We pray these devotionals empower you to take on your day. If you found value in this devotional, share it with a friend, leave a comment or review for us on the app you're using right now. Until tomorrow. We pray that your latte is strong, but your love for Jesus is stronger.
