You're listening to the My Morning Devotional podcast, episode 1432. Today's Devo is called Our Provider. Hey there. We're the Alessies, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time. That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the My Morning Devotional Podcast. Happy Tuesday, everybody. Good morning, good afternoon, good evening. Whenever you're getting this episode in, this is Gabby, your host for today. And yes, it's my birthday today. This is so cool that I'm getting to record and release my devo or my week of devos on my birthday.
00:00:46.310 --> 00:01:26.239
So very, very significant. I'm turning 26 today, so whatever the year is going to be upcoming, that's the age that I'm at. So I was 25 in 2025 and now I'll be 26 in 2026. So it's pretty cool. I was born on December 30, 1999. I was like 24 hours early or I was 24 hours before the cutoff. And my parents believed that there was going to be like a, I guess there was a, a prize if you were the first baby born in 2000. And I decided to not make that happen. So my parents were very mad at me immediately when I was born in 1999. But, yeah, pretty cool. And now I' that I get to join you guys.
00:01:26.239 --> 00:02:07.109
And as I look back on today and I just think about, you know, your birthday always brings up so many emotions. I, I, I'm kind of going off of yesterday's episode and the verse of yesterday because I've just been reminding myself of what God has done this year, you know, in 25, in 2025, I got engaged, I got married, I bought my first home with my husband. It's been the greatest year of my life. And in Deuteronomy 6:10, I love this verse because this is when God had given the Israelites the ten commandments. And then now he's telling them to stick to them. Remember my words, don't forget them.
00:02:07.109 --> 00:02:21.770
He tells the people, you know, tell your children about these commandments, tie them around their neck, write them down. Like basically telling them, put the commandments in a place that you'll always see them, right? And then he continues to talk in verse 10.
00:02:21.770 --> 00:02:32.330
And it says this, this is Moses talking to the people. It says, when the Lord, your God brings you into the land he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to give you. And I want us to focus on this part.
00:02:32.330 --> 00:02:36.650
A land with large, flourishing cities that you did not build.
00:02:36.650 --> 00:02:40.490
Houses filled with all kinds of good things that you did not provide.
00:02:40.490 --> 00:03:10.189
Wells you did not dig and vineyards and olive groves you did not plant. Then when you eat and are satisfied, be careful that you do not forget the Lord who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. Can you tell we're talking a lot about not forgetting what God has done? But I love this verse, and I love it even on my birthday. I'm resonating on this because I am walking in blessings and answered prayers and seasons and opportunities that I did not provide.
00:03:10.189 --> 00:03:23.000
Season, I did not build, I did not dig, and I did not plant. That doesn't mean I am walking in things. And God just gave it to me. And oh my gosh, I'm just overwhelmed by it. And I don't have to put the work in.
00:03:23.000 --> 00:03:31.319
No. This speaks of the overwhelming goodness and favor of God, that even when we don't build something, God blesses us with that thing.
00:03:31.319 --> 00:03:35.319
Even when we don't plant, we still get to walk in the harvest.
00:03:35.319 --> 00:03:42.620
See, this is what we call favorite. God gives us favor. God has a promise for every single one of us.
00:03:42.620 --> 00:04:14.159
And there are seasons that. You know what? Yeah, we're building the house and we get to experience what we've built, that we plant the seed and we're walking in the harvest of the seed that we planted. But there are areas in our lives that we are walking in favor of God that God just gave to us because he loves us and he's gracious and he's merciful and he promises to open up the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing that we cannot contain. You see, I think when we read this verse about you're going to walk into rooms, you're going to walk indoors, you're going to walk into houses that you didn't build.
00:04:14.159 --> 00:04:29.040
I think it speaks of the blessings that we can't contain. That part of it is, yes, we sowed a seed and we trusted God and we walked in righteousness. But the other side of it is God gave us. We're walking in the harvest.
00:04:29.040 --> 00:04:33.139
But God doesn't just give you the harvest you sowed for He.
00:04:33.139 --> 00:04:39.410
He gives you an abundant harvest. He doesn't just give you. If you gave 50, he's going to give you back. No, he's going to give you a hundred.
00:04:39.410 --> 00:04:46.490
He's going to give you a thousand. He's going to give you more than you can contain. Why? Because that's who God is.
00:04:46.490 --> 00:04:58.009
God takes care of us. God multiplies. God overflows and overwhelms our barns. The Bible talks about it all the time. Why? Because it speaks of his favor.
00:04:58.009 --> 00:05:23.759
Guys, 2025 was a year of. Of God's overwhelming favor on all of us. And even if it was a hard year, because, look, I'm speaking out of a. A year that, man, it goes down in history. But maybe I'm speaking to somebody that had a really rough year. Maybe you lost more than you gained this year. Then I'm just going to speak and declare right now that 2026 is gonna be a year that you're gonna walk into rooms you did not build.
00:05:23.759 --> 00:05:46.620
You're gonna. You walk into harvest that you did not sow for in a good way, not in a bad way, that you are going to experience the overwhelming overflow of God's favor on your life. If you didn't see it in 2025, you'll see it in 2026. This is where we have to remind ourselves. And we cannot forget that God gives us more than we ask for.
00:05:46.620 --> 00:06:41.769
So what are you asking for? What are you praying for? What are you believing for? Get ready. God has more in store for you because we are in blessings and we are walking in opportunities and things that we did not pray for. But God is so gracious that he gave it to us. Man, I just think about. I know I'm going long, but this podcast alone, I hadn't. I did not see it on our radar that God would give this to us. Allison was so diligent with this. Allison really did the legwork for this podcast. She built the community. But God gave it to us in this season where we would come together, we would take it on from her. And now we are excited, experiencing this community and this overflow, and we're able to be a blessing. While you are a blessing to us, this is an example of. I'm in a room that I did not build. I'm in a house that I did not build. I'm in a vineyard that I did not plant. I am. I'm in a well that I did not dig.
00:06:41.769 --> 00:07:16.110
And I'm not going to forget that it all came from the Lord. I remind myself today that all of this is from. From the Lord. So I hope this blessed you. Come on, let's pray. Father, thank you for the blessings that you give us. That, Lord, we didn't even have on our radar. We didn't even see it Father, but you blessed us with it and we thank you for your favor. 2025 was a year of your favor and Lord, we're going to continue to see it in 2026 as you build on our life. Every single year we are building. We are going from glory to glory to glory.
00:07:16.110 --> 00:07:19.069
So we thank you for your favor. In Jesus name, Amen.
00:07:19.069 --> 00:07:41.149
