New Beginnings

New Beginnings

Can a new day really mean a fresh start? In today’s episode, host Richelle Alessi invites us to reflect on the beauty of new beginnings and God’s unwavering faithfulness. Together, we’ll explore how every morning brings a renewed opportunity to leave the past behind, embrace God’s mercy, and set our hearts on pursuing His purpose for our lives, no matter what last year looked like. Drawing inspiration from Lamentations 3:22–23, we’ll remind ourselves that His compassions are new every morning...

00:00:03.759 --> 00:00:45.210
Today's TiVo is called New Beginnings. Hey there. We're the Alessies, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time. That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the My Morning Devotional Podcast. Good morning everybody and happy Tuesday. My name is Rachelle Alessi and I am your host this week. I hope that you guys enjoyed yesterday's podcast on writing down your vision, your goals, and the things that you are believing for this year.

00:00:45.210 --> 00:02:18.810
And I just want to continue this theme this week about new things. And as today's episode is called New Beginnings, it was inspired by the verse in Lamentations 3:22 through 23. And it says, it is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning. Great is thy faithfulness. And this verse is such a perfect reminder that each new year and each new day, we started with God's fresh mercy and his compassion does not fail us. And that's why we get a new year, new beginnings, new things that we can do because of his mercy and how great he is towards us. And sometimes we start to think because of everything that we have done or the things of last year, it might be a bad setup for this year. But in the reality. The reality is that with God, it literally says here, the greatest is faithfulness and that we have new mercies every morning and every year and every day. And so we get to say, hey, my last year, maybe 2025, was not perfect. I could have been better, or there's areas I wish would have been better. But if you set your mind to, I am going to pursue the things that I'm believing for. I'm going to pursue the Lord above all.

00:02:18.810 --> 00:03:04.740
God is with us and he's faithful and he can redeem a lot in a year and days and months, as long as we set our minds to, I'm going to run this race. And like I said, we probably have heard that phrase of greatest thy faithfulness in the song, and we've heard it in the verse, but it is such a great reminder that the Lord's faithfulness, guys, is great. It doesn't say it's good enough, it's kind of good, or it's sufficient. It says it's great and the Lord is faithful towards you. And so this year as you are starting new and you have a brand new year, you can start clean.

00:03:04.740 --> 00:03:16.469
No matter your past, you you repent, you ask the Lord for forgiveness and you say, these are the areas where I'm going to be better. These are the areas where I'm believing for more.

00:03:16.469 --> 00:03:24.310
And the Lord just comes and great is his faithfulness and we play our part and the Lord always plays his.

00:03:24.310 --> 00:03:35.509
So let this verse be an encouragement today that each year and each day starts fresh with God's mercy and you have access to that. And don't forget it.

00:03:35.509 --> 00:04:30.060
And don't forget it this week, don't forget it next week, don't forget it in the middle of the year and don't forget it at the end of the year because God's faithfulness is great. So let's pray. Dear Father God, thank you for your great mercy and your great faithfulness. Thank you for being with us each day and each year. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to be able to start fresh and clean and have new things, Lord. And we know that in your power and in your will all things can be redeemed and you can help us make a situation better no matter what it was, Lord, with you, you turn all things into good. And Lord, we are just going to pursue you this year and pursue your goodness and put you first and we're going to see everything else work out for our good. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

00:04:30.060 --> 00:04:51.620
