You're listening to the My Morning Devotional podcast, episode 1433.
00:00:03.919 --> 00:00:07.280
Today's Devo is called Miracles of 2025.
00:00:07.280 --> 00:00:26.160
Hey there. We're the Alessies, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time. That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven.
00:00:26.160 --> 00:03:02.569
This is the My Morning Devotional Podcast. Well, happy New Year's Eve, everybody. This is your host, Gabby Kaladiud, and I am ending the year with you all and we are coming to an end of 2025 and I hope you are enjoying today with your family. If you're prepping for the New Year's party, maybe you're getting a later start because it's going to be a later night and we're going to have a long day today. This is a beautiful day as we come to a close of one of the most beautiful years that we have experienced. You know, I'm thinking back on 2025 and I do have a verse today. I'm going to get to it, but I'm thinking back on 2025 and when we think about what the world went through and we think about what, you know, the church went through or what we all went through in our personal lives, honestly, we can sit back and write a whole list of the whole hard things that we experienced. You know, in 2025, we saw the devastating floods in Texas. And if we have any listeners in Texas, we want you to know that our heart is with you. If anybody is listening and following along that lost a loved one or a close friend or a family friend or, you know, of somebody that passed away in those floods. We are praying for you during this holiday season because we know that grief is really hard during the holidays and, and moving on can feel so difficult because you don't want to move on from somebody. But we have to remind ourselves that happened this year. You know, we, we lost people in that flood. Just a couple weeks ago we had, or months ago we had a hurricane that devastated the islands in Jamaica and the Bahamas that it, it ripped through where people that we knew were out, were out of, they didn't have a roof or they didn't have their, their covering in their home. They lost everything. We heard a couple weeks ago about, in Cuba, there was a virus, virus that broke out due to another storm and a virus broke out that they could not control in Our church, you know, we sent supplies over there to, to help cover them and, and even, even so many things that I can continue going. I could take up this whole podcast, this whole five minute episode, seven minutes, because it's me. But I can go on and on about the losses and the, the hardships of 2025. And I'm just talking about globally. If you and I were to sit and have a cup of coffee, we would probably be able to fill up a whole notebook of personal losses and things that we've had to endure. But I don't want us to remember 2025 as a year of loss. And I pray that we can remember 2025 as a year of miracles.
00:03:02.569 --> 00:03:14.370
You know, in our church the last two Sundays, we've been talking about how there was two stories of miracles that came through. One was a couple in our church that was looking for a house.
00:03:14.370 --> 00:03:29.169
And the Miami housing market has been just brutal. I mean, everywhere has been really difficult. But Miami, so many people are moving to our area that it's just making it impossible for people that are born and raised in Miami. It's impossible for us to afford the homes here.
00:03:29.169 --> 00:04:10.400
And a couple that did not have what you needed to live in in a house that they were praying for, but they didn't have the ability to. God came through and bought him a house. And every answered prayer, every prayer that they prayed about the neighborhood, about the parking lot, about the na. Everything. God answered every single prayer up to the driveway and how big their driveway needed to be so they can fit enough cars. So we saw a miracle there. We have another lady in our church that was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer back in 2024 and through the year of 2025, with treatments and. But with the hand of God, she is healed and whole. And she rang the bell, the cancer free bell.
00:04:10.400 --> 00:04:53.529
Guys. God healed her body. She was given a 25% chance of living. But today she stands healed and whole, ready to live the rest of her life with her three children. Why? Because God did a miracle in her life. So yes, we can write a book of devastations and of losses, but man, I can write a whole life story on the miracles that we've seen in 2025. So Psalms, let me get to my verse. Becasue im so, I'm so. In this Psalm 27:11 says this. I will remember the deeds of the Lord. Yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. Today, let's remind ourselves of the miracles that God did in 2025. What did he do in you this year.
00:04:53.529 --> 00:05:05.069
Was it a house that he provided? Was it a baby? Was it a new job? Maybe he took you out of a job because he's getting ready to get you into a better one in 2026. That's a miracle.
00:05:05.069 --> 00:06:37.029
Maybe he removed a relationship from your life because he has more in store for you in 2026. That's a miracle. That's a miracle in the making. You're going to look back in 2026 and say, that was a miracle of 2025. Maybe God did heal your body or maybe God is in the works of healing your body right? Right now, these are miracles that we have to remind ourselves of. Here's why. If we focus on the loss, we'll look back at 2025 and say, man, that was a really devastating year and we'll forget what God did. But when we remember the miracles, we remind ourselves of who God is, what he's done, and what he will do in the new year. And that is something that we need to sit on and embrace today on New Year's Eve. God, we thank you for your miracles of 2025. We thank you for healing our friend. We thank you for providing a home, Father, we thank you that you removed us from situations, Father, or from relationships or from jobs, Lord, that you are going to redeem and restore in 2026. God, we thank you for the new job. We thank you for the new opportunities, God, whatever miracle of all of our listeners that they've experienced in 2025, we thank you for it, Lord. And we remember, we won't forget, Father, the miracles of 2025. And we're expectant and we're ready for what you're going to bring in 2026. We thank you for it. In Jesus name, amen and amen. Happy New Year. Enjoy your family and have a great day.
