Anyways, let's dive into it. I'm reading from Philippians 4, 8, which says, finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me or seen in me, put it into practice. This is my favorite part. Remember this. Highlight this in your mind and the God of peace will be with you. So the other day I was having a stressful day with my kids. It's almost every day at this point. I have two children. One is about to be three in May, the other one's one and a half. And we are in the thick of it, guys. I feel the stress. And my struggle personally is stress. I just stress. I freak out if. If they drop a glass jar on the floor, I stress. If we're late, I stress. If we didn't get somewhere on time and the kids don't have their shoes, I stress. If they don't have their food, I stress. That is my problem. I stress. Well, it's really funny because my daughter loves frozen, I'm sure, like your children, if you have kids or like your nieces, and nephews or like your students, Frozen is where it's at.

Okay? We know every single word to Let It Go. We've watched the Disney on Ice version of Let It Go. We've watched the cartoon version. We've watched the live action. Every version of Let It Go we have listened to. Okay, we are Let It Go fans, Stans. Truly. And I had this thought the other day because I looked at the numbers of streaming Let It Go has and I wanted to share this with you. On Spotify, Let it Go has 900 million streams, okay? And on YouTube, it has 3.5 billion views. Let It Go is the one of the most popular songs in the entire world. And parents are listening to it daily along with their children.

And yet, parents are some of the most stressed out people I know. We are listening to a song that says straightforwardly, let it go, let it go. Do not hold it back anymore, Turn away and slam the door.

Here you stand in the light of day. The cold didn't bother us any day. How is it that us parents are listening to a song about letting go of things? And yet we are some of the most stressed out people in the world. You know, stress, it is so damaging to our bodies, our minds, our physical health, our emotional health.

And some, not even parents deal with it. There's a lot of singles that deal with this. There's a lot of single parents that have to deal with this. Because of your job, because of your schedule, whatever it may be. Stress is so common and it is one of the most damaging things to our health and to the quality of our life. But here is the promise God gives us.

We do not have to live stressed. Sure, it is normal for life to be pressured. It's normal for schedules to be busy. It's normal for life to be a little chaotic sometimes. That's normal. That's part of life. But we do not have to live stressed. We can let it go. Let it go, by God, we can let it go. We can let go of the negative thinking. We can let go of the worst case scenario thinking. We can let go of the anxious thoughts, the fearful thoughts. We can let it go. And here's my encouragement to you. Just start with today. If you deal with stress or anxiety, just start with today. Start with the next hour. Put a timer on your phone for the next hour. I'm only going to think about whatever is true, whatever is noble and whatever is right. Put a timer on your phone just for one hour. Only think about life giving things.

And once that timer is up, set the timer again for another hour.

I'm only going to think about whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable. Because the God of Peace will be with you wherever you go, everywhere you go today. Everything that you face, even in those high stress moments, even in those chaotic moments, rest and think about whatever is true, whatever is noble. Make it your mission today to fight stress, to rebuke stress and think about the positive life giving things you have in your life and watch.

Let's pray. God, we thank you for the fact that you say that you will be with us and that the God of Peace will be with us wherever we go. God, we have a stressful life, we do have a pressure filled life, but we don't have to live in that stress. So Holy Spirit, be with us today.

Fill up our hearts, fill up our minds, fill up our souls so that the depths of our souls, our physical bodies can feel that peace, can feel the peace with us everywhere you go. Let your peace be a hedge of protection and allow it to fight off any negative, any stressful, any pressured thinking so that we can live. And this peace you promise us. And in Jesus name we all pray. Amen. And Amen.
