Lead Us Not Into Temptation

Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we read James 4:7 which says "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."

"To be honest, our society sometimes makes me questions my goals and aspirations. I can fall into this harmful way of thinking. We are breeding a generation that relies on comparison to get us through the day. “I have to lose weight, look at how much that person lost in quarantine" or “I have to work harder, look at that super successful new business she launched in the middle of COVID"

This year has been hard on everyone. Today is a new day, to tackle new problems. The last thing you need to do is give into temptation. The enemy will tempt you that comparing yourself to others feels good. The enemy will tempt you into doing his work for him. He will tempt you into spreading gossip, and to relay on our fears rather than our faith.

But this verse is saying to submit to God.

Nothing in this life is perfect. Your journey is yours to walk. Being alive today means you survived another day in this crazy life, and God isn't done writing your story. So keep leaning on Him. Stop looking to the world, stand against the devil. He doesn't want whats best for you. He never has."
