You're listening to the My Morning Devotional podcast, episode 1403. Today's Devo is called I Get by with a Little Help. Hey there. We're the Alessies, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time.

00:00:22.239 --> 00:00:32.890
That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the My Morning Devotional Podcast. Good morning, everyone. Happy Wednesday.

00:00:33.369 --> 00:00:51.810
Stephanie here. And we're just going to continue in this topic of things that I am grateful for. And I'm pushing us to look forward. We're grateful for this opportunity and for this gift to look forward to be made new and that the days ahead of us are better than the days behind

00:00:51.810 --> 00:01:10.349
2 in the ESV version, and it says, let each of us please his neighbor for his good to build him up, you know. Oh, I didn't update you guys, but I am finally moving. We found a home in Miami. God is good.

00:01:10.829 --> 00:02:23.930
Seriously, it was an answer to prayer. And I am just so excited to share with you all more of the details. I'll share with you at the end of this week of how we found our house. God, he came through. Okay, so I'm going to share with you the story on Friday, so tune back in and I'll just quickly share with y' all what happened. But yes, I am moving in a few days and I need a lot of help because I don't know why, but I just have so much junk. And I am so grateful that I have friends that are helping me move and helping me get from one house to the next. And I truly don't know how I would be able to do this without my friends. And it. It got me thinking that in my relationships, my friendships, my church community, I would not have any of these people if it wasn't for Jesus, if it was not for God and me being a Christian, if it wasn't for my church, I would not have any of these friends in my life, these friends that are willing to drop everything on a Friday to come help me move, these friends that are taking care of my kids, loving on my kids, helping me in my marriage, praying for us.

00:02:24.490 --> 00:02:39.050
I wouldn't have any of these people if it wasn't for Jesus. And that is something that I'm choosing to be grateful for. You know, all of my siblings and my parents and my in Laws, they know Jesus. Thank you, God.

00:02:39.849 --> 00:02:46.650
They love Jesus, which makes them great people. And all of my friends, they love the Lord and we get to do lives together.

00:02:47.189 --> 00:03:05.349
In fact, they are my life, and I would not have any of it if it wasn't for the Lord. So if you're in the same boat, just tell Jesus thank you today for the friends that he has brought into your life. Even if it's just two friends, I don't got hundreds. I only have, like, five really good friends.

00:03:06.069 --> 00:03:08.789
And for those five, I am so thankful.

00:03:09.669 --> 00:03:12.870
So, because truly, it's so rare to have that.

00:03:13.659 --> 00:03:24.300
Now, if you don't have this, I have two things to encourage you about. Number one, first thing you need to do is pray for Jesus to open your eyes and heart to those that are around you.

00:03:24.620 --> 00:04:48.220
You know, maybe this community is already in your life, and you need to maybe just be more intentional about it, or maybe your eyes just need to be open to those around you. I can do the same. I love my people, I love my friends, But I also love to stay in on a Friday night and watch a movie, but I can't do that every single Friday. I got to get out of the house and intentionalize my friendships. So, number one, pray for Jesus to open your eyes to those around you. But number two, if there still is not a community, then pray. Pray. Pray for the Lord to open a door to the right people. Don't go striving for it. You stay who you are and allow the Lord to bring people into your life. He's done it for me, and I know he can do that for you. You. But it is such a blessing to have people in your life that pray with you, fight with you, laugh with you, serve with you. And for that, we are grateful. Let's pray. Dear God, I just thank you that we get to live a life that is fun, it's joyful because of the friends that you have brought into our life, because of the family you've brought into our life. We cannot do this life without community, without people. And we would not have this community if it wasn't for you, Jesus. So thank you for that. And if there's anybody listening that does not feel like they have a community, I pray that, God, you will open their eyes to those around them.

00:04:48.379 --> 00:05:13.350
And I pray that you will open a door soon, Jesus, like in the next couple weeks, to a community that will love them and treasure them, that you will open up their heart to make praise, proper, authentic friendships with the people around them, and that these friendships will only bring them back to you, Jesus. We thank you Father for all you're doing in our lives and all you're doing in our relationships. And in Jesus name we pray. Amen.

00:05:14.149 --> 00:05:35.139
So there you have it. Your 5 minute daily dose of heaven. Thank you so much for tuning in today. We pray these devotionals empower you to take on your day.
