Hello To The New

Hello To The New

What patterns are we holding on to that might be keeping us from stepping into something new? In today’s episode, host Stephanie Muiña invites us to explore the journey of breaking old habits and mindsets as we discover what it truly means to embrace the “new” that God has in store. Drawing inspiration from Ephesians 4:22-24, we’ll reflect together on letting go of past patterns and allowing God to transform us from the inside out. Whether it’s fear, worry, or simply holding on to relationships that keep us anchored in the past, we’ll learn how these breakthroughs begin with the courage to break free and step forward in faith.

Let’s gather as a community and pray for the strength to say goodbye to the old and welcome the new, trusting that God is with us each step of the way. Join us as we encourage and uplift each other on this path of renewal and devotion.

00:00:29.899 --> 00:01:32.010
Happy Tuesday, everyone. My name is Stephanie and I'm going to continue on my theme of breaking things off of you so you can have the breakthrough. You need a breaking to have a breakthrough. And yesterday I referenced the Second Kings verse, when the servant was so afraid because all he saw was an enemy army around him. And his prophet Elijah, the man that he followed and helped with everything, prayed, lord, open his eyes so that he may see. And he saw that there was a heavenly army surrounding him the whole time. And what it encouraged me to tell you all today is that before you receive your breakthrough, if you're praying for the Lord to come through for you, maybe this holding pattern is a chance for you to recognize that some of the old things, mindsets, ways that we speak, old habits need to break off before we receive our breakthrough. So today I want to talk about breaking of old patterns.

00:01:32.409 --> 00:02:13.538
22 through 24 in the NIV version says you were taught with regard to your former way of life to put off your older self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires, to be made new in the attitude of your minds and to put on the new self created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. You know, the Bible tells us clearly that we have to put off our old self. And we all know what those old habits are. We're all fully aware of them. Maybe you give up too quickly, right? When things get hard, you just let it go and you give up.

00:02:13.938 --> 00:02:17.618
Maybe you turn to the wrong friends rather than turning to the right ones.

00:02:17.778 --> 00:03:05.490
Maybe you isolate yourself and when things start to get challenging, you just want to be alone. You have these old habits that need to finally break. Well, what if today it happened? What if today you made it your day to step into new habits? Now, instead of you being fearful or worried, you have a joy of the Lord that is your strength. Instead of you being the one who walks around with guilt or shame or impatience or worry, you're the one pouring joy into others. What if you're the one who's inviting everybody over to their house. What if you're the one initiating conversations with leaders in your church, with elders in your church to receive wisdom from them?

00:03:05.650 --> 00:03:13.409
What if you finally stop texting that old friend or that ex girlfriend or ex boyfriend that keeps dragging you into the old?

00:03:13.409 --> 00:03:42.550
What if today is the day that you step into the new and you never turn back to those old ways? And what if God was using this holding season to finally break off those old ways? You know, I had a season in my life where I was just praying out to God, why aren't you bringing a spouse into my life? Why aren't you bringing a husband? I've been dating around, I've been trying to meet someone that I like, but God just did not bring the right man into my life.

00:03:43.349 --> 00:04:20.689
Well, there was a day that I was faced with the past and I did not like how I reacted when I faced my past. And that's when I realized, oh, wait a minute, I've got to break this off before I meet my husband. There are some things in me that need to be aligned. They need to be just thrown in the bag, closed and thrown away before I step into this new season with a spouse in my life. And even though those were the hardest days of my life, I look back now and say they were the best days I've ever lived. Because that's when the Lord spoke the clearest to me. That's when he refined me the most.

00:04:21.100 --> 00:04:28.300
That's when he guided me the most. Because I only cried out to him and I only wanted the new.

00:04:28.540 --> 00:04:35.500
So today, step into the new. Yearn for the new, Search for the new and become new.

00:04:35.819 --> 00:05:13.129
Let's pray. God, we're ready to finally let go of the old habits, the old patterns. We are not that person anymore. We are a child of God and we are being made new every single day to become more righteous and to be more become more holy like you are God. So let today be the day, Father. Let your spirit guide us. Let your spirit and fill us, God, to become a new person inside and out. And we will never see that past again. We are stepping into the new. So hello to the new and in Jesus name we pray. Amen.

00:05:13.769 --> 00:05:34.730
