Happily Ever After

Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we read out of John 10:9-10 which says "9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.They will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."

" This verse reminds me that we get to live Happily Ever After in Him. Through him we get to have life, and have it to the full. Meaning we get to have it all. Not all that we want, but we get to have everything he wants for us and what he wants for us, surpasses anything we could ever dream or imagine.

He wants to give us life, love, joy. He extends grace and mercy. He calls us by name. He knows what we need and he knows where we’ve been and yet still, we get to live a life of happily ever after.

There is an enemy and he will try his very best to kill and destroy you joy. It happens when we are driving and someone cuts us off, or drives too slow. It happens when we allow our flesh and emotions to dictate our situations. It happens when we allow negative thoughts to consume us. It happens when we have lack of communication with our loved ones.

He is sneaky, and his promises sound like ever after, but he can only give short term pleasure. We are in it for the long hall. We pray, and we lean on Jesus to remember that only He can give us pasture. He is the only one who can give us the happily ever after we truly deserve. One with Him."
