Richelle AlessiGood morning, everybody, and happy Monday. My name is Rochelle Alesi, and I am your host this week. This week is going to be fun as this upcoming um Saturday, we are celebrating the 4th of July here in America. This podcast is based from Miami, which is in the United States. And we're going to be talking a little bit about America and not just the country itself, but we're going to tie it in with scripture. And I am so excited as I have a different, not perspective, but a different view on this. Because believe it or not, I was not born in the United States. I was born in Costa Rica. And I moved to the States when I was 12 years old. And I have been here since. And I love that because I know a lot of you listeners are not from the United States. We l we have people listening from all over the world. And we love that. And so as I am talking about America and some of the things that make makes our country and some of the things that we are, please don't tune out. I promise this is going to apply to you more than you think. And so it's funny because as I started to process this podcast, I actually came to film and I couldn't film it. I actually had to take a step back and come back to it because of how I believe this topic is so important. And I didn't, I wanted to make sure that it was the best that it could be for you guys and that we were able to connect in it. And so, like I mentioned uh to you guys earlier, I was not born here. I was born in Costa Rica, and I have the privilege of living in this country, and this country has been very good to me. And nonetheless, I believe that it's God's provision, and I think it ties in perfectly with today's episode called God's Providence. And the verse that I want to read from is Psalm 33, 10 through 11, and it says, The Lord foils the plans of the nations, he throughts the purposes of the people, but the plans of the Lord, but the plans of the Lord stand firm forever. The purposes of his heart through all generations, and guys, we can see this because God, God's guiding hand has been over countries, over many nations, over our personal lives. We truly see God's hand in everything because this even applies. This was written, this is Psalms, so this is many years ago. Somebody talking about how God's plan is firm, it stands forever, and that was thousands of years ago, and we can find that comfort today that God's plans are still standing firm forever. But I love that it says the purposes of his heart through all generations. We can see that God's purposes have been played out through many different generations over time, and here we are. So I encourage you today, listen, wherever you live, whatever your culture is, whatever your background is, what brings us all together is our belief in Christ. And if we believe in Christ, our generation should choose his plans and his ways. We should say yes to God's purposes. What God has in his heart for this generation, our answer is going to be yes. No matter what our state looks like, in our country, in our families, we believe in God. That's what brings us together. God is a providence, He knows everything. And I believe that you and I, wherever we are in the world, guys, this is what I love about this podcast, that we are everywhere. What brings us together is our belief for Christ. And that we are going to say yes as a generation, because we might be here, you might be across the world from me, but we might be the same, we're the same generation, which means there is a purpose for us, individual purpose, but also a purpose for our generation. And I encourage you today that you say yes to God's ways because his ways are higher. And like this verse says, his plans stand firm forever. So we want to be part of those plans wherever we live and wherever our culture says what brings us together is our belief for Christ. So let's pray today. Father God, thank you so much for your providence. Lord, you provide, you give us, you lead us, your hand is on us, and we can see that throughout many generations, your plans to this day stand forever. And so I just pray that you will use this generation for your will, Lord. I pray that all of us believers all over the world, we say yes to your plans, yes to your purpose, Father, that we would stand and say yes to you. Because over and over in the history that we have seen, not our history books, Father, the history that we read in our Bible shows that your plan is perfect and that through all the generations, you've had a plan, you've shown different aspects of yourself to different generations. And I just pray that this generation, our generation, says yes to you wherever we are, that we unify in saying yes to your ways and the plans that you have in your heart. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
