You're listening to my Morning Devotional podcast, episode 1545. Today's Evo is called From Suffering to Hope. Hey there. We're the Alessies, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time. That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the My Morning Devotional podcast. Good morning, everybody and happy Friday. We've had an incredible week about persevering, so we've made it. We persevere through the week. If you're listening today on a Friday and you've been with us all week, let's clap for you. That's amazing, because this week hasn't been just a fun, happy theme. It's been about perseverance. But I promise, if we persevere through this week, there's going to be a great harvest on the other side. And today we are going to talk about from suffering to Hope. So if you feel hopeless today, this is for you. Because sometimes in persevering, we can feel a little hopeless. So this is for you. We can feel weary when we are persevering. We can feel weak, we can feel hopeless. And in all, the Lord has answers for us. So today, if you feel hopeless again, this is for you. And in Romans 5, 3, 4, it says, not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance, perseverance produces character, and character produces hope. Isn't it beautiful that through all the hard words of perseverance and character and more perseverance and persevering and more character, we have hope? At the end of it all, the Lord promises hope. And as we are going through challenges and things, we can grow hopeless and be like, I just have no hope for this situation anymore. This person is never going to change. This. This situation is forever going to stay the same. Or you might say, this is just my life. This is what always happens to me. This is just what's going to be for the rest of my life. No change will ever come. No one will ever come for me. Or this is just how it's going to be. Or this is how it's just going to be for my family. There's never going to be more for my family. But guys, those are lies from the enemy. That is not true. There is hope. But sometimes hope is like the light at the end of the tunnel. But that hope comes from persevering and letting that perseverance produce character, and letting that character produce hope. I love that. The Bible and actually the word of the Lord, the Lord, his inspired word. We've known from everything that we've seen in scripture that the Lord has an order of things, and those things matter. Because when we follow that order, that's when we get to experience his blessing. He's put it there for a reason, because he wants us to experience the biggest blessing ever. And that comes through following a system. And he's put that system in place for our protection. It's not even so we can just pass the test. It really comes from a place of the Lord wanting to protect us and for us to experience the best life possible. Then there is some guidelines, there is some boundaries. There is a way to do it, and that's actually his love. Please hear me. When we say that there is a way of doing things, it's not because the Lord is harsh. It's because he loves us and he's laid out a system that blesses us, that protects us. It's the same way with this, guys. It starts with, we glory in our sufferings. We've been talking about trials and sufferings all week long, many kinds of trials. It all looks different for everybody, but we have to consider it joy. We have to endure it and find glory in our sufferings because that suffering produces perseverance. If we didn't have a suffering, we would not produce perseverance. If we didn't persevere, that perseverance wouldn't produce character and that character would not get to hope. It's beautiful that when we grow our character, then we actually have the character to truly experience that hope. Maybe if we're feeling hopeless, it's because we haven't let the full procedure and system work itself out in us. So today, don't be shy from looking at your suffering in the face and saying, I'm going to persevere this with the Lord. And this perseverance will produce a character that will be able to give me the hope and for me to experience the hope that the Lord has for me. So don't feel hopeless today. But. But if you do know that there is a system for you to get to that hope. So if you think that I'm just hopeless, this will forever be my life, that is not true. You can experience a new hope by following this system that the Lord has laid out for us. I'm making it simpler than it is. I know it's hard to go through our trials and our sufferings, but let's find comfort today that those things won't go to waste. The Lord will use them for us to persevere, to have character, and to then really get to experience the hope that he has for us. So let's pray today, Father God, thank you for the way that you have laid out things on scripture. Lord, we know that you have done this so we can be safe, so we can experience the best possible blessing, Lord, because you care for us. So, Lord, as we endure today all our sufferings, we know that you are producing beautiful things in our life. So we get to experience this hope, so we get to experience this new life and this beautiful life that we get to live in you. So Lord, we thank you today for this week. I pray for every single listener that tuned in this week and for everybody that's saying today, Father, I'm going to persevere. I pray a newfound strength that you are going to give them in this situation and in many situations to come because they are standing and saying, I'm going to persevere. I know and I believe that you will meet them right there and give them everything they need to do this right. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. So there you have it. Your 5 minute daily dose of heaven. Thank you so much for tuning in today. We pray these devotionals empower you to take on your day.
