Creation Itself

Creation Itself

Can you recall a moment when the beauty of nature left you truly in awe? In today’s episode, Richelle Alessi leads us as we reflect on Psalm 19:1 and the incredible ways creation itself declares the glory of God. As a community, we’ll explore how every living thing—skies, oceans, mountains, and even ourselves—points back to the Creator’s handiwork. We’ll learn how cultivating gratefulness for what God has done can transform our perspective, especially as we enter the Thanksgiving season.

Join us for this uplifting devotional and unite in prayer and gratitude, thanking God for His beautiful creation and His goodness in our lives.

You're listening to My Morning Devotional podcast, episode 1396.

00:00:04.240 --> 00:00:06.799
Today's Devo is called Creation itself.

00:00:07.919 --> 00:00:37.929
Hey there. We're the Alessies, a ministry family working together in our church in Miami, Florida. And if you're like us, when days get busy and to do lists get longer, it can be hard to find devotional time. That's why we've partnered with our friend Allison to produce a five minute daily dose of heaven. This is the My Morning Devotional Podcast. Good morning everybody and happy Monday. My name is Rachelle Alessi and I get to be with you guys this week. And I'm very excited for this week.

00:00:37.929 --> 00:01:51.989
We have a theme for the week and it's grateful for what God has done. And we're just going to go over verses and things over scripture and just thank the Lord for all the great things that he has done for us that allows us to be here today and truly enjoy our lives and do what we get to do because of all the sacrifices that the Lord did many, many, many years ago. And so it is November, it is Thanksgiving season, and so it's great to just wake up every day and just be thankful for something. And so I'm going to let you know what I'm thankful for today and then we're going to go into our verse and our devo. But I encourage you guys, please let us know in the comments and maybe every day this month comment down below. Like, what are you grateful for? It doesn't have to be something huge, but starting our day with gratefulness is just going to set us up and it's going to, it's going to really make a difference in our day. But it's also, it's just getting us ready for the holidays. It is a beautiful season, so let's end the year with gratefulness. And today I am very grateful for my husband because I would not be able to do live without him or do anything without him really.

00:01:53.030 --> 00:02:07.909
And he is amazing. So today I'm giving my husband, Chris Alessi, who you guys have heard here before, a shout out. And I'm so, so, so grateful for him. And so you guys let me know what you're grateful for today. But let's get right into the word. Today

00:02:07.909 --> 00:02:41.349
1, and it says, the heavens declare the glory of God. The skies proclaim the work of his hands. Today we're grateful for what the Lord has done. Every living thing truly reflects his glory. And what we see in this verse is that the Skies proclaim the work of his hands. The heavens declare the glory of God. The very creation itself worships the Lord back every day. Because God created everything.

00:02:41.909 --> 00:03:19.340
And how much more can we praise God and thank him for what he created? He created us. We are part of his creation. And the Lord has never stopped creating. And everything that he's created, from the beginning to the end of time to infinity, will forever look back to him and thank him and praise Him. And what a beautiful sentiment that even the heavens declare the glory of God. Everything that surrounds us that he's created goes back to him and shows his glory. I've gotten the privilege of traveling and seeing some beautiful places and beautiful nature.

00:03:19.740 --> 00:03:23.180
And what it all goes back to is the Lord created this.

00:03:23.580 --> 00:03:55.949
When I've been to Jackson Hole and I've seen beautiful snow or been around beautiful trees and mountains and different oceans, you truly are in awe. And you become in awe of the Lord because of what he can do and what he's created. And, and I love that this verse just says that everything declares the glory of God, that the skies proclaim the work of his hands. We are blessed to have a God who's created beautiful things around us and created us. And so, guys, I encourage you today.

00:03:55.949 --> 00:04:28.420
Wherever you are, look at the beauty around you. See what the Lord has created. See the beauty in what the Lord has created. And if you're in the middle of somewhere where you're like, I don't live in a beautiful place. I challenge you to see the beauty around you, to find the beautiful things around you that the Lord has created and that deserve the praise to him and that we get to be in awe of what the Lord has done. So we are grateful that the Lord has created beautiful things around us, but also created us.

00:04:28.899 --> 00:05:16.649
And we get to enjoy them because he's that good to us. So let's pray today. Father, we want to thank you for your creation. We want to thank you because you create beautiful things, Father. Everything that you do, Lord, is perfect. You are a perfect Father. And in that you have created us. And we just thank you for your creativity to do what you do and that that same spirit lives in us today that you allow us to continue to create in this life. Father, we just thank you because you are that good. And this week we promise to be aware of our surroundings and the beautiful things that you have done. And in return, we are in awe of you and we praise you. In Jesus name we pray.

00:05:16.730 --> 00:05:39.089
Amen. So there you have it. Your 5 minute daily dose of heaven thank you so much for tuning in today. We pray these devotionals empower you to take on your day.
