Bless God

Have you ever wondered how we can truly refresh our souls when life feels overwhelming? In today’s episode of My Morning Devotional, we journey with Richelle Alessi to explore the power of worship and intentional gratitude. Together, we’ll discover how stepping away from our own worries and turning our hearts toward God can bring us real refreshment, especially as we move through busy seasons. We’ll learn practical ways to bless the Lord—through worship, thankfulness, and lifting our gaze beyond ourselves—renewing our spirits in His presence.
Join our community today as we pause together in prayer and devotion, setting aside a few minutes to thank God for His goodness and to bless His name.

00:00:32.399 --> 00:00:36.079
Welcome to another episode of my morning Devotional podcast.
00:00:36.079 --> 00:00:54.079
My name is Rachelle Alessi and I get the privilege of being with you for the rest of the week because we only have three weeks, I mean, three days, three days left. And I, I've loved our topic and what we've been discussing the theme of this week, it really has been about just refreshment and being refreshed.
00:00:54.560 --> 00:02:00.370
And as we almost approach almost the middle the year, it's good to kind of get our thoughts together and just kind of go back almost to the beginning and not lose the momentum that we have because summer is coming and things are slowing down. But mentally I think that we're strong and, and we can do that. On Monday, we talked about a way that we could be refreshed is by being generous, by giving to others. That the Bible says that we're more blessed by giving than by receiving. And if we want to receive, we have to sow seeds of giving. And then yesterday we talked the promise of God and how he's there and he truly sustains us and he's with us and he strengthens us and gives us what we need. And today I want to talk about another way that our soul can get refreshed. And I believe that that is by truly worshiping the Lord. There's nothing like you alone getting in the room or even at your church with everybody as a congregation when you just align your soul and you tell yourself, I, I'm going to worship the Lord. There's something that just refreshes your spirit.
00:02:00.769 --> 00:02:04.609
And I believe that is because you truly get your eyes off yourself.
00:02:04.930 --> 00:04:35.279
You get yourself out of the things that you need and the focus on you. Because we don't realize how focused we are on ourselves and our thoughts. We live with our thoughts 24, 7. We are with within ourselves all the time. And sometimes we just need to take a break from ourselves and set our eyes on God and take the time to, to bless the Lord in a way that we can do that is by worshiping him. And I love Psalm 96, 2, 3, because it says, sing to the Lord and bless his name. Tell of his salvation from day to day, declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works amongst all the people. And sometimes we just need to get in a room by ourselves and God and we just start to bless God's name and we start to thank him and glorify him and remember all. All the amazing things God has done for us. Not that we have done, we've accomplished. We don't have to go back to the things that we've done. We have to go back to the things that the Lord has done. And in return, our hearts are full of gratefulness and we just want to bless his name. And I want us to take some time today just to bless the Lord. Wherever you are right now, if you're listening to this in your car, if you're listening to this at work, in your lunch break, wherever you are right now, right after this devotional, pause what you're doing and intentionally bless the Lord and thank him. If that means you putting a song of worship, I can say Bless God by Brooke Ledgerworth. That's a beautiful song. Put it on, it's three minutes and just bless the Lord. Or if that's you just saying, I'm going to sit down and write three things I'm grateful for and just thank the Lord for how amazing he is. Then you go ahead and do that. But take the time to be intentional to bless the Lord and in return you'll see how refreshed you feel afterwards. Because we're getting ourselves out of everything and just putting our focus and truly blessing the Lord and not doing it to get something out of it, but doing it because we truly know the Lord deserves a time of worship and a time where we just thank him and bless him. So let's pray. Father God, we want to take this moment to thank you and to bless your name. Thank you for all the great things you have done. Thank you for your faithfulness. Thank you for your miracles. Thank you for your love. Thank you for who you are. Lord, we bless your name.
00:04:35.360 --> 00:04:53.910
Today we take our eyes off ourselves and we instead put our focus towards heaven and the amazing God that we serve. We are lucky that we get to serve such a good God. And in return, Father, we just bless your name. This morning, in Jesus name we pray.
00:04:54.069 --> 00:05:16.120
Amen. So there you have it, your 5 minute daily dose of heaven. Thank you so much for tuning in today. We pray these devotionals empower you to take on your day.
