00:00:29.519 --> 00:00:37.039
Happy Monday, everyone. Stephanie Molina here, and I'm very excited to continue in our Proverbs series.

00:00:37.600 --> 00:00:56.479
I know Rochelle just finished out last week all of the proverb verses and I will be continuing starting with Proverbs 22. Let us know if this is blessing you. Let us know if this has been helping you. Read your Bible and read your proverbs. It is so important to get into wisdom.

00:00:57.049 --> 00:01:11.930
Proverbs biggest message is to get wisdom. So let's dive into it. Let's continue on. I'm only going to read one verse, but of course you could start over and read the entire chapter on your own and pray with it. But let's dive into it.

00:01:12.010 --> 00:01:22.819
Proverbs 22. And it says, do you see someone skilled in their work? They will serve before kings. They will not serve before officials of low rank.

00:01:23.620 --> 00:01:35.379
So I had a friend who was really, really good at photography. And one day they came up to me and they were saying that they wanted to learn how to get better at the guitar.

00:01:36.340 --> 00:01:43.379
And I thought, you know, yes, this could be beneficial for them to play the guitar more often.

00:01:43.620 --> 00:03:16.069
However, their gifting as a photographer was very, very good. Not only did they shoot good photos or good videos, but the videos that they would make were very impacting to our church. And I remember telling that person the analogy of surfing. And when you surf, the best strategy for you to do while surfing is to swim out to the sea, sit on your surfboard, find the sweet spot, and to sit patiently and wait for the good waves. Some people like to swim side to side, back and forth, back and forth, to look for all the best waves to catch them all. And you could do that, but you will end up extremely exhausted and you might get a good wave. But my favorite strategy is just to enjoy exactly where I'm supposed to be in the water, to take a chill pill and then to get one wave after the other and to become an expert at that one sweet spot. Well, it's the same thing with our gifting. Every single person has been given a gift not just a gift to be good at, but a gift to use to bless other people. And sometimes if you know your gift and you've been operating in that gift for a long time, it can get a little boring. But here is my encouragement to you. Boredom should not be a sign that you change everything in your life and start new.

00:03:16.629 --> 00:04:26.329
No, it actually means that where God has placed you is the area you are meant to steward. You've been given that gift for a reason. So it's time to excel in that gift. And that gift could be anything. It could be art, it could be photography, it could be music, it could be mathematics, it could be finances, business, hospitality. You can be good at cooking. You can be good at conversations. You could be good at connecting people to one another. You can be good at creating ideas. Whatever your natural gifting is, lean into it. Don't get distracted with so many other things. I mean, you can have your hobbies, but don't allow it to take you away from the gift God gave you in the first place. Because that gift was meant to be stored. It was meant to be multiplied so that you can bless others with it. Find a way to bless others with your gift. And if you don't know exactly what your gift is, ask your friends, what am I good at? And whatever they tell you, become an expert at it. Listen to all the YouTube videos, read all the books. Learn from someone.

00:04:26.730 --> 00:04:30.259
But God gave you that gift, so be a steward at it.

00:04:30.420 --> 00:04:41.860
And if you can become skilled in that one way, God will use you to serve before kings. So lean into it and become an expert at the gift God gave you. Let's pray.

00:04:42.259 --> 00:04:45.779
God, I thank you so much for these gifts that you have given us.

00:04:46.100 --> 00:04:53.139
You gave it to us for a reason and we know that it was to glorify you and to expand your kingdom.

00:04:53.790 --> 00:05:23.800
So God number one, use our gifts to bless others. Allow us to grow in our gifting. Give us a fresh new love for the gift that you have given us. And God, our second prayer is if we don't know what our gift is, start to reveal it in us. This week, God, show us the gifts you gave us, the things that come out of us naturally, the things that give us joy and fill our tank. Start to show it to us so we so we can pursue it and we can use it to glorify you. And in Jesus name we pray.

00:05:23.879 --> 00:05:46.040
Amen. So there you have it, your five minute daily dose of heaven. Thank you so much for tuning in Today we pray these devotionals empower you to take on your day.
