Richelle AlessiGood morning, everybody, and happy Friday. My name is Fresh Alesi, and yes, we've made it through a full week of devotionals here. Five minutes. I probably went over. I am so sorry, but I promise I'll come back. I'll come back to five minutes next time around. But I also want us uh take a moment to say happy 4th of July. I know today today is July 3rd. Tomorrow is July 4th, but I just want to take a moment to say happy 4th of July to our nation, to all of us, to all of you that are listening to live here in America. Let's celebrate tomorrow our freedom, let's honor our country tomorrow, and let's have an incredible time because we truly are blessed to be in this country. So let's get into our episode. Uh Hebrews 11, 16 says, and without faith, it is impossible to please God because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. This is such a beautiful verse. And I call this episode back to faith because I believe that as a nation, as a church, as individuals, we need to have faith to truly please the Lord. And having faith is not easy, especially when us humans are limited with what we can see. All we can see sometimes is what's right in front of us, what the news are saying, what we see happening in the world, and we what we think we see happening in the world, because our only few view of the world is not that we've been there, is that we hear it in our news or we see it in our news. But it takes faith, guys, for us to believe something even when we don't see it. That is faith. And the Bible actually says that we have to have faith to please the Lord. Because, guys, we have to believe in God. We talked about yesterday being thankful for everything that the Lord has done where we've been, that the Lord uses the good and the bad. And when we are in the middle of the bad, it's almost impossible to see good. And in that time, we still have to choose that I believe the Lord. It says here that we believe that he exists. We have to believe that the Lord exists. The very foundation of our faith is accepting Christ into our hearts and believing in him, that he exists. And we can't physically see the Lord. Like he's not a person standing right in front of me that I can see and believe, like you see your mom and your children and your spouse and your friends. He's not like that. But we can still see the Lord in our lives by the miracles that he creates, by his way of provision, by the love that he shows us every day, by the people that he surrounded us, surrounded us with, by his creation. There's many ways for us to still see the Lord, but we have to believe in our hearts that he exists. And it's beautiful because it says that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. It's not just one and done that we say, Hey God, we believe in you. We have to seek him, we have to find him. And even in the bad, which is where I think this ties in really well with our topic, because all of the world has been in such a weird place of politics and beliefs and new generations rising up, and the older generation and the newer generation finding a way to come together and one having a belief and the other one having another. It almost feels like we can mix. But guys, I said it at the beginning of this week. As believers, what brings us together is our belief for Christ. That takes faith. And faith pleases the Lord. Us seeking him daily, even when we don't understand, pleases the Lord. Us seeking him daily, even when the world seems very confusing, pleases the Lord. Seeking Him and seeking His commandments and believing His word and taking it whole wholeheartedly and seeking that, not the ways of the world, but the ways of God, that pleases the Lord. So trusting God, despite uncertain times and challenges, pleases the Lord. If you have been nervous about the state of your country, of your family, because almost it feels very uncertain. Like what's gonna happen next when a certain person comes and is the new president or is a new position of leadership, what's gonna happen next? It does feel very uncertain, but we have to trust the Lord. We have to pray for our leaders, we have to pray for our country, we have to pray for our families, we have to pray for our friends, for our kids, for our spouses. When moments feel uncertain, we pray and we seek the Lord and we believe in him because we know that seeking the Lord and having faith pleases him. But the Bible also says that he will reward us. And that reward, guys, might be your answer prayer, the Lord answering your prayer. That reward is gonna look different for everybody, but we all want our prayers answered. And I believe that one of those rewards we'll see will be us seeing our prayers answered because we truly seek God above our desires, above our understanding. And we said, I'm not gonna go by my understanding, I'm gonna seek the Lord first, and I am gonna see him as I seek him. So let's pray. Dear Father God, I want to thank you for your amazing love, for your amazing Bible who which we can open today and see you. Father, you have left a tangible Bible for us to seek you. We're not just left to wander, Lord. You have given us a clear map, a clear place to go and seek you. So I pray, Lord, that you will open up our hearts and create this desire to know more about you, that we will all rise up in faith to believe you. That even in uncertain moments in challenging times, we choose to trust you because that is faith. Even when we don't see it, even when we don't understand it, we still choose you. We choose to seek you and find you in it all. So we thank you, Father. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
