This is the My Morning Devotional Podcast. Welcome back, everybody. Happy Wednesday. Hope you are having a phenomenal week. And I'm just believing that the Lord is doing a real work in all of us and helping us get through this Christmas season. I cannot believe it's December 3rd. Where did 2025 go?

I don't know about you, but you know what? 2025 was the best year of my life, and so I hope it was the best year of your life. To 2. We're going to read actually out of

12 today, so we're going to go back to Philippians 4. And 12 says this. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. My brother preached a message a couple weeks ago at our church and he brought up this verse. So I did kind of steal this point from him. I'm so sorry. But it's such a good point that I've been. I've been simmering on and thinking about

And sometimes our biggest takeaway is being content.

Be content in any and in any and every situation, be content. Whether you're fed or hungry, be content. But he pointed out the word learned. And he was saying how Paul almost tells on himself, as if. As if there was a day that he wasn't content, but he learned to become content. And it just gave me such a sigh of relief.

It took a weight off of my shoulders. Because I think this is a reality for all of us believers today that we are always learning, and that's a good thing. Every day we're learning something new. Every day we're learning how to talk to our spouse, we're learning how to talk to our kids, we're learning how to get the job done and what's next for us and what Does God want to do? Man, I don't know about y', all, but it feels like every day I am learning God's voice, that God's voice was once a certain way, but now I'm hearing him differently. And it's not that he's changing, but my life is changing. So now I have different people around me speaking into me, and I'm having to learn when God is speaking through them.

You know, getting into marriage, the dating season, it's like, it's. It's such a. A season of proving, you know, you're. You're trying to prove to one another that you love each other, and then you're engaged. And then when you're engaged, you're just laser focused on the wedding, that you're not even thinking about dynamics. But now that you're married, you're. You're just. You're stuck with each other, and you've got to figure out your dynamic.

And now he and I are figuring out how to talk to one another, and I'm learning his love languages and his way of communication, and he's learning mine. And the majority of our fights and arguments is because we just don't know what the other person needs. But through that argument, we're learning. And I think it's just a great reminder. And let this. I hope this encourages you today that, you know, if you made a mistake yesterday or if you made a mistake this morning, that's okay, because you're learning how not to make mistakes. If you spoke to somebody a certain way and it didn't go well for you, or if you made that mistake at work or you failed that class, or maybe, maybe you messed up with your kids this morning and you didn't make the breakfast they wanted or breakfast was a mess. That's okay because we're always learning.

And the beauty of learning is it keeps us in a seat of humility. It puts us in a position where we say, God, I am the student, you're the teacher. God, I'm still learning.

I'm still figuring things out, but I want to learn from you. And I just pray that we're never out of a season of learning. I never want to be out of a season of learning, even though it is very hard to be in this seat because it is more comforting to know that I know. But I always want to be in a place of God. I'm just learning. And Lord, let me learn from every circumstance and every room that I walk into and every conversation I have. Lord, let me learn. Let me be in the seat of a student and let me continue to learn. So I hope this blesses you. I know I needed this when I heard this message. I needed it. And I hope I. I hope it helps you today with whatever you're doing. And I know it's not very a Christmas theme, but man, even you're learning this year what your husband needs for Christmas. You're learning what the in laws are expecting of you to do at Christmas. Why? Because we're always learning. And let us be confident and comfortable and content knowing that we're always learning. One thing that I know is that I'm always learning. Father, thank you for today.

We just thank you, Lord, that we have your word that we can open and learn from that. We can see this verse that, that Paul wrote to the church of, of Philippi. But Lord, it's still true for us today that Lord, we would always be in the seat of a learner and, and a student. And that we would listen and try our best to learn from every situation around us, Lord, and let us learn to be. In Jesus name I pray.
